Guys in a recent post we learned about some hacking os and their uses and creators info and where to learn them now the term is known about uses of Linux and other operating systems and disadvantages of Linux os. So let's get started.

I know the people who are reading this post some of them are using windows os because its basic os to operate easily now even you are windows (or) mac user knowing how to use Linux is a valuable skill, and it can run a bundle of awesome things in your computer or laptop even if it isn't your main desktop os. Here are top 10 ways you can use Linux even if you're not ready to go full Ubuntu.

1. Troubleshoot other computers

Now, here you don't even need to install Linux on a box to make it useful--- all you need is just a solid live CD. just boot from the CD and you can grab any files from the hard disk, even if the computer won't boot or you have been forgotten your password. Linux can even help if you accidentally formatted your entire data disk. Of course, not all the systems rescue discs are Linux--- and there are a lot of good ones out there - but a bit of a basic Linux knowledge can turn you into a troubleshooting expert.

2. Make a chrome web more useful

Now, here we all know about chrome browser and its uses but we all know simple things like streaming downloading and playing online games but here we going to learn some deep secret tricks of chrome browser you will be surprised how much you can get done in chrome browser. There are a lot of great chrome apps out there for editing audio, video, images, coding, and more but sometimes you just need a more powerful desktop app you were familiar with. luckily we can install chrome and get access to a traditional desktop with a bunch of apps. It won't get you photoshop or Maya or something of that things, but if all you need is a bit of a safety net, its perfect.

3. Host a website or web app

Now, here some people are owners of some blog. I'm also one of them nowhere you would be surprised how many websites you visit every day actually run on Linux and if you want to build a website, you probably will too. Possibly more interesting, though, is how you can use a Linux-- based web host--- like Dreamhost to host your own personal RSS reader with tiny RSS or your own cloud drive with own server or own cloud. You could, of course, you can, host these on a Linux box in your home, too. It's a bit more complicated, But it gives you complete control over everything rather than putting your data in someone else's hands.

4. Work with hard disks and partitions

Now, here we will go to know about working with hard disks and partitions if you dual or triple boot your system and ever want to move partitions around, you will have a much easier time with a Linux live cd and partition. Now if you don't dual boot, you will still need a bit of help from Linux if you ever migrated to an SSD (solid state drive), or upgrade to a more high-quality drive. And, if you want to securely wipe it so no one can get at your data... well, Ubuntu can do that too but not windows os.

5. automate everything in your home

Woo, I'm not talking about J.A.R.V.I.S from iron man movie. But with a little Linux knowledge and a cheap computer like the raspberry pi you can create all sorts of small home automation gadgets. You can control your home with Siri, mount google calendar tablet on your wall, set up a home surveillance system, control your blinds and air conditioner, stream music in your living room, build a digital photo frame, build a sunrise alarm clock, build AI bot and pretty much anything else you can think of. with a cheap board like Raspberry Pi and free os like Kali Linux, you were more limited by your imagination than your wallet.

6. Run a home server for backup of data, streaming, and more

Nowhere, you can do one amazing thing. If you don't want to leave your computer on 24 hours of week just to share files or download torrents, a tiny dedicated Linux box might be a better solution. with an old computer or a cheap new one, you can put together a home server that stores your backups, streams movies, and music, seeds torrents or works silently in the corner. You can put one together with Nas4free, freenas, or even ubuntu though our favorite solutions are the Linux- based amahi. (yes we know free nas and nas4free are technically free bed- but we're going to lump them in with Linux for practical purposes).

7. Convert old potato pc into a gaming machine

Now, this is an awesome part. If you have an old computer that won't even use the desktop - like a media player or dedicated gaming machine why not just set it up with a Linux backend?
it's free and easy to do. XBMC works great on Linux, whether you're running on a raspberry pi or just a low-powered pc, and you can turn just about any pc into an all-in-one retro video game console. the raspberry pi works well for older games, but you would want something more powerful to play newer stuff. now, you could even use it to create a retro ds arcade coffee table.

8. Brush up on your hacking and security

Now, it's a tricky time. Some Linux clone distributions, like Backtrack or Kali Linux, are security- highly focused distros for testing security systems and IoT devices. That means you can use them to learn how to learn how to, say, hack wep or wpa wi-fi passwords, which is a great way to learn a bit more about your own network security and how to protect yourself from similar attacks. Of course for evil- but knowing evil trick gives you a good path to preventing them.

9. Give life to old pc or slow pc

Now, here its time to give life to pc. And now so we come to one of the best and common uses of Linux - and still one of the best. If you have pc that's seen better days, windows are far from the ideal os. Install a lightweight Linux distribution on it ( like Ubuntu, parrot, or anonymous) and it will feel like a new life to a computer again. It may not be able to do everything your powerful windows machine can do, but its better than having a  non-good condition pc, and works perfectly for basic tasks

10. Learn how computer and servers work

Now, here the last thing to do is know about how a computer works. If none of the above lines sound like anything you need, why not just get in the depth of doing it your self and learn a little bit more about how real computers work? tons of things run Linux these days, from Television to the Android devices in your pocket, and learning about  Linux is not only a fun hobby in and of itself, but it will help you to learn bit more about what makes these machines work. We recommend getting started with something like Ubuntu or parrot or mint, then when you get a little easier, move next to the arch for some serious learning. There are a ton of great distros out there, and even if you were just playing around, you may find that those skills come in the easiest thing one day
